Hi,

I have the conditions on my residence removed. What does that mean and what are those conditions?

Thanks a lot.

if you are petitioned by a US citizen through marriage then it means you are not bound by the marriage basically you can divorce without getting removed from the country.
To get the conditions removed the us spouse has to petition with you to get then removed.
now you are pretty much free to leave them if you wiish, thats why they give you two years conditional residence to determine if you are a bonafide marriage or not.

Hi,
Thanks a lot for you answer. Yes, I had my 10 year CG on Feb 6th 2006. It took me not even a month a half to receive it. I sent the form to remove the conditions on December 23rd 2005 and Februay 6th, I got my 10 year GC. I was kind of lucky, because usually this process takes a minimum of 7 to 8 months. That was at Nebraska INS office. I hope for the citizenship it won't take that long too.
