Removal of condition (I-751) after divorce

A friend of mine was granted a conditional residential status through marriage to a US citizen. After 21 months of marriage the marriage was terminated through divorce.

She then applied for removal of conditional status using form I-751, by choosing option d in Part 2 (Basis for petition) - entered into marriage in good faith but terminated by divorce. She also included documentation on the marriage like joint bank accounts, joint bills etc, and the finalized divorce papers.

Recently (after inquiring about status of her application after waiting almost 2 years) she received a letter from the Nebraska Service center stating that the service records indicate that she and her husband would be called for a joint interview at the Detroit Center and that she would have approximately 7-14 days notice when the interview was scheduled.

Since she filed on her own (not jointly) after divorce is this just a form letter that the INS sends based on her inquiry? Or do they have an error in their records that she should take some action to correct? If so how to go about doing so?

Thanks for the help
