I still cant beleive what i heard yesterday - our case has been approved. It has been a long 6-1/2 years wait for us since we started the process. Got stuck in the LC because of the introduction of RIR. This board has been extremely helpful with its vast information and support. Afterall all old cases are not interviewed. This is not a thankyou and goodbye message since I plan to stick around here and provide with input to others.

There seems to be no particular order and everything seems to be pure luck. So just hope for the best.

Here is my case details.
pd 2/96 (no typo here)
LC cleared: 5/99
i-140 ND: 6/99
i-140 approved: 9/00 (RFE for financial statement from company)
485 nd: 10/00
AP approved : 11/00
EAD interim : 12/00
FP 1st: 2/9/01
FP 2nd: 3/29/01
i485 approved: 5/25/01

Congratulations ! Your approval has given me renewed hope.
My I-485 ND is also in October 2000 and I am waiting for more than
7 months now for my approval.

Did the AVM get correctly updated or did you receive your approval notice by mail.

I got my message from the AVM but i have not got my approval notice. generally i keep my mouth shut till i have the approval in hand but this time i could not control my excitement. I will let you know, once i get the approval notice in hand.
Just dont loose hope.
