relationship between security check done at 485 stage and consulate for visa issuance

Guys,
Do you think based on your experience or otherwise there's a relationship between security chek done at the time of issuing H1 visa at a consulate outside US and security check done at the time of 285 adjucation?

I am trying to figure out if my 485 case will run into any name check issues. When I applied for my H1 7th year extension overseas, my security check only took 7 days, should I be relieved that my 485 will go through pretty quickly without any long delays?

Thanks
Jeff

I am not sure...but i tend to agree

I have very similar doubts.. I filed my 485 recently and within couple of months noticed an LUD on my 1st ever H1 (which was issued early 2000). I am still puzzled why this had to happen...

Was security check required for your H1 visa?

Hi,
Can you please clarify what do you mean by LUD on your first ever H1?
Did you apply for H1 extension after applying for 485? In my original post, I am referring to the security check required sometimes before issuing the visa at a US consulate outside US?

Are you referring to the pending H1 extension request and getting a LUD on that?

Jeff

H1 lud..

I did not apply for any H1 extension after filing 485. I only applied for EAD and AP along with the 485. Dont know if there is any relationship at all but wanted to post what i noticed in anticipation of similar experience from someone else..but i guess i am the only one with this wierd scenario.

How and why did you check your H1 application done in 2001? Is it still on line somewhere? If I understand correctly, you filed I485 recently, then checked your old H1 application and saw a LUD change on the already approved H1 application. Please explain. Thanks.
