Relation between Fingerprint card sent to INS and Fingerprint interview

Maybe I am new to this, but in the set of docs, my lawer sent to my family, we already had fingerprint cards and we applied our fingers on them.

Is the fingerprint interview about different fingerprint? What is the mission of fingerprint card, sent to INS with the set of I485 application?

the fingerprint card you already sent in (prepared by you) is for EAD only. the FP notice you get is for your GC (this will be prepared by INS authorized people)...
