reinstate F1

Due to financial deficiency, I have withdrawn from the university 2 weeks ago. I thought I have 2 month grace period. I just learned that I was wrong.

At this point, can I reinstate my F1 status? What is my chance to be reinstated? I have been admitted to another program, and determined to transfer to the other program next semester. Shall I reinstate into the current program, or I can reinstate F1 status and take the other program?

Any other suggestion?

Additional information: My husband is doing his OPT and applied for H1B this April 1.

From what I know, with a very very good lawyer you have a chance to get back on F1 if you've been out of status for less than six months. You should talk to a lawyer about that, they should know.

also if i remember correctly you should have one semester of excused absense for illness. See if you can get something from a hospital and you good to go.
