Registered to vote without my consent and knowledge

Hi guys, I have a question. I live in Michigan. I am filing for Citizenship and after obtaining my driving record I learned that My name was registered as a voter. I never registered myself, neither I ever voted in the USA. It's been done without my knowledge and consent. I did some research on this and learned that the state of Michigan has in the past automaticaly registered people to vote when applying for or renewing Drivers license. Does anyone on this forum have any similar experience being involuntary registered to vote and how do you proceed to provide evidence that you did not apply for voters registration?
I do have a lawyer who is dealing with this, but still I find this quite disturbing as we all know that there are severe consequences for those who vote and are not citizens.

Did you check a box on a form saying that you want to be registered to vote or something?

No I did not. I don't think I even filled out any form. What I remember, you just come to the Secretary of State, with your old DL the clerk asks you if you need any address change, or update, checks your vision, takes a new picture, then she typed something in the computer and gave me a temporary license with my old license and told me "you are all set, you're new license will arrive within two weeks". That was it.

Hi. Was this all resolved? I was wondering what happened to your case
