Regarding status in I485

Hello Gurus/Experts,

I applied my wife's I485 by last Jun-2004 as my dependant. She came here with H1B Visa in Nov-2003. But she got her first project during Feb-2004. She doesn't have paystubs for Dec-2003 and Jan-2004(2 Months).

She now has EAD and AP. She used EAD due to better job from last Oct-2004.(We knew that her H1B is now Invalid, since she has used her EAD). She has not received her FP yet....

Now her present company is likely to lay-off her by the end of this month.

My questions are,

1. For some reason if she do not work for another couple of months say, what would happen to her Status?
2. Will she ever get any RFE like EVL,latest paystubs, etc?(eventhough she has been included as my dependant)

I just wonder, since she has come in as H1B, I suspect if INS would ask an RFE as above..

Please share your thoughts....

Your wife's I-485 is solely based on her derivative status from you. It does not matter whether she works or not using her EAD. USCIS would grant her GC only on the basis of a valid legal marriage to you and she having timely filed her I-485 before you got your GC approval. Besides, you would have anyway filed I-134(Affidavit of Support) on your behalf showing proof of support for her.So relax and dont worry about it.

Her status is AOS..don't worry...
RFE chances are dim.. and 'coz she is dependent ..no problem..
Get the work and stay on EAD whenever work is there
 
Finger Printing status- ??????

HI Guys,

I don't know if I am too anxious but just thought of clarifying my doubts.
You can see my case details in my signature.
I have filed my I140/I485/EAD/AP (Myself and wife) on May 26th. All are approved except I485.
I have recently moved to a new apartment so changed the address with USCIS.

On December 16, 2004 My case status has changed to the following info.

"On December 16, 2004, we responded to your request for more information concerning your case. If you have not received our response within 30 days from this date, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283".

The message is very unclear. If it is due to Address Change, then they should update the case status for me and my wife but the case status has been changed only on my case. I dont know if it is any RFE or something that I need not worry about.

I still did not get any information about Finger Printing from USCIS. Should I try to call VSC and find out about my case?

Is anyone with the following dates in the same boat as me?
