OK I have heard from many people it is not a good idea to reschedule the interview date. I "had to" due to serious family health reasons and my travel to India - there was no way out of it.
My interview date was on October 18th (original). I asked my Assistant at work to send the original document back to the DO along with supporting documents explaining the reason for reschedule and a cover letter signed by me.
I requested for a date in the 1st week of December. The letter was sent on October 3rd with a certified return receipt and I have verified that the DO got the letter.
However, they have not sent a reply with the rescheduled date yet. (It is November 7th now).
I am getting really anxious now - thinking that my case has been slid to the back burner.
Please share any experiences anyone has had. Also let me know the course of action to take to find out what I need to do to find out about my date.
