Regarding Quitting my job

Hi All,
The below are my stats
140/485 applied Nov 04
140 was approved April end.
485 still pending.

My situation:
I need to join full time school from July 05 ( in a month from now) , and I will have to quit my job for that. From what I understand, my 485 processing will stop once I quit.
I work for a big company and they would not go out of the way to help me.
So I can show employment for a friend's company and go to school full time.
Is there a way I could work this out such that my 485 doesnt get stopped
 
you can quietly wait for your I485's approval if you don't get an RFE. If you do get an RFE, you should be back to work and show you have a (future) employment on hand and file AC21.
