Regarding Pay

As you have mentioned

"The rule of thumb is, you can never pay an H-1 holder below the prevailing wage. You can also not pay them below what you pay other similarly employed professionals in the geographical location of the employment."

I am on H1b and earning a base salary of 63K and added to that a current project bonus of 60K, If another consultant working in the same geographical location and employed thru the same company is just making the base salary(i.e. 63K) would that violate your above mentioned statement.

I just want to know whether the project bonus is considered as benifits and should not worry about those.
