Regarding new AVM FP message noticed since 11/27...

To me it seems that they just modified the message to be more indicative of what stage your case is in. The last time the "FP Collected ..." message was updated was on 11/16(prior to that it was 11/09). Looks like they are doing what seems to be a weekly process of collecting FP data. The latest "FP collection" seems to have happened on 11/27 with the changed AVM FP message coming into play then.

A few weeks ago when the AVM message changed to "FP collected...pending review" it threw a curve ball to all those whose AVM still said "975 to 999" days. Same thing is happening to those whose AVM message says "FP Collected ...". I think they are just fine tuning their system, this new FP message is a consequence of that. Until something else happens to change that ...

I agree with Dee Rod. The new AVM message is probably not any more indicative than the previous one. Only this time, they chose to record a different message...

does it mean after pending review message, the folks would get
either FP Re-do notice or approval ( if No RFE), with no further change in message for FP.
they should give very clear message to avoid a lot of calls
"On so and so date we received your FP results. The FP quality is good and you will be notified of decision soon on you application"
 OR
"On so and so date we received your FP results. The FP is not clasiifiable blah blah...You will need to do FP again and FP
Re-do notice will be mailed soon".

That is what I expect would happen ...

Whatever the AVM says for each case after FP results are received by INS from FBI is what it will remain until approval or an RFE is sent. But, I seem to remember that for somebody the message changed to indicate FP re-do. I could be mistaken there though. It would be interesting what Liu He\'s AVM says, he got an FP re-do notice on 11/24.

According to INS processing procedures, whenever FBI sends back a response to your FP the INS contractor should printout the FP results and add it to your case folder and send the folder to workload distribution department where it will be shelved by month of RD and await allotment to adjudication officers who request for work. I imagine that this FP related AVM message is updated for your case by the contractor at the time they add the FBI FP results printout to your case.

The various messages you are referring to would only happen if INS assigned a pertinent message for each possible FBI response(refer to my earlier posting of possible FBI responses in another thread). Wouldn\'t that make life easier for all of us? But, that\'s too much to expect, I suppose.

I also think that the "FP Collected ... pending review" precipitated too many calls to IIO\'s for clarification and hence the new message.
