An urgent query here
I have been working with a company for the last 4 yrs. The last two years have not been good for the economy... So I got paid lesser than what was mentioned on my Labor, filed with the DOL ; about $6000 less last year and about 12000 less the year before...
Now I am planning to file my second stage (I-140 with that company or some other company which is ready too).
So two things,
One, would my I-140 with the present company run into any rough weather because of that... My employer says that they can manipulate it by showing that I was on leave for a long time hence less pay....
Two if I were to change my company and go with another company to file my I-140, would I still be in trouble...
Finally,
Is there a legal recourse for those who were paid lesser than the minimum...
Please do let me know...
