Regarding I-864 and I-864A

Hi,

My wife is US citizen and I am working in US on L1.
Now my wife is going to file petition for my permanent residency.

Since my wife is full time student I am the only one earning in the house.

As per my perception, we need to file I-864(By my wife and I-864A (My self as household member) for affidavit of support.

Please let me know if my understanding is correct?
