regarding funds

i am planing to go to canada in couple of months from india as i got pr visa, can any one tell me....
1) what amount i have to show during landing procedure in canadian dollars for myself,my wife,and a 1year old boy.
2) in which bank can i open the account from india and easy to use.
3) can i show them the bank statement to the immigration office or they want the fund in travellers cheque or cash.

2. You might try HSBC
3. It has to be in a convertable currency (not ruppees) from bank that you access in Canada.
