My sister applied for both of us brothers with their family in F4 category. We are done with our interview at the embassy but the problem is that her income is not enough to support both the families. its is around $51k.

So what are the option dat we have at hand now to overcome dis issue..??

Plz help...!!

Thanx in advance

How much income do they need?

Assets can be used to make up the difference, both her assets and the immigrant sibling's assets. Every $5 of acceptable assets offsets the income requirement by $1. So for example if her income is $5000 below the requirement, she and her sibling would need $25000 of assets.

If your sister is married she can also combine income with her husband if he will agree to be a co-sponsor and file I-864A.

Her family needs an income of arnd $65000 to support us all and her 3 children according to the stats available to me. 18K fr the couple and $4600 for every additional dependent.

They have a joint income of around $100k from a departmental store of whom she is an equal share holder. She is also earning around $24000 from her job. But the problem is that their marriage is going through a bad phase and her husband is not willing to co-sponsor.

So is there any way by which she can show that half of the income belongs to her and with her 50% share with her she would easily be able to sponsor her single-handedly.

Also we dont want her husband to know about all this.

Regarding the $51K that was mentioned at the top of the thread, is that her half of the department store income?

If that is in addition to the $24K of employment income, that's a total of $75K, so what is the problem? Doesn't she have tax returns showing what she made from ownership of the store?
