Regarding EAD from Local INS office

My husband has filed for 140 and 485 recently. We are expecting our EAD by May 10 th 2004 ( 90 days period ends on May 10 th). If I do not get it from INS and would like to go to local INS what do I need to carry with me.. ?

please advice.

You need just I 765 copy and some kind of ID.They will not charge any fee.

my lawyer told me to carry I-485 receipt.
actually local office in Los Angeles checked both I-485, 765 receipts.
