Regarding EAD for L2 Visa

I came to US in Dec. 2007 on L2 Visa which was valid till Feb 2009. I Got my EAD which is valid from March 2008 to May 2010. I went back to India in Nov. 2008 and Got my visa stamped again.

Is my EAD still valid or I have to apply for a new EAD?

Also I have heard that as per the new rules A L2 visa holder who has an SSN no. do not need EAD for a job. Is that true?

I would basically say as long as your EAD and your visa are both valid, you may reside and work in the US. This is JUST my opinion

Regarding being able to work with L2 visa, it's up to your "company discretion". This is what USCIS told me over the phone...

I dont think the fact that you have a L2 visa makes you eligible for employment...atleast that was the case with me...
I have a SSN but have to take time off work till my new EAD comes through...
