Regarding AP Renewal

Hi,
Can any one help me.

I applied AP Renewal for my wife in MAY 2002, she got RFE in DEC 2002 and we sent reply to that. Now i am little bit confused, do i need to apply for her New AP renewal or do need to wait to get her AP(Applied in MAY 2002) then apply for New AP Renewal.
