Hi
My family moved back to India in Jun'2004 while all our(I, my spouse and my son) GCs were in process.
I and my spouse travelled in Dec'2004 and in Oct'2005 for fingerprints and for ordering cards. We got our cards without any problem. My son got his GC in Apr'2005. Now this year, we are planning to go back and apply for travel document. I have couple of questions.
1. When we travel back, will my son face any problems at POE. He has been out from since Jun'2004 but his GC came only in Apr'2005. Which date will be used to calculate his outside stay. If there are any questions at POE, what should we do to handle them. Any suggestions please.
2. If we apply for travel document after we go into US, will it be approved or since we have been staying outside most of the time after getting GC?. Will there be any chances of rejection. Actaully we (I and my wife) made trip in Oct'2005, so as per uscis rules, if we travel within six months, I hope it should be fine. But please let us know your valuable suggestions.
Thanks
Suresh
