I am currently in Toronto, Canada on a WP for past 1.5 years. I applied for H1B and have been waiting for the approval notice. My Canadian WP is valid till Nov 06 after which I need to go back to my home country.However, I had conveyed my inclination to appear for the H1B interview at the Toronto US consulate and I believe the H1 employer has mentioned that when submitting the visa application.
Can I go for an H1B Interview stamping in my home country (India), if I don't get my approval by Oct 06 and I return back there and once I get the approval.
Is it mandatory to appear for the H1B stamping at the consulate mentioned in the H1B application. Are there any alternatives available.
