reg. EAD (Work Authorization)

hi,

I have filed all my papers for I-485 during 18th of October, 2002 including the I-765 for EAD. I have not received the EAD card yet.
I have 2 questions


1) Any ideas what is the current processing going on for EAD. when approprixately i will receive it.

2) Is it possible for me to change the job once I receive EAD.

First you will get a recipt from INS telling you the expect processing time. You can also check from the home page, under processing time how long it takes. I think you should not have to wait for more than 60 days more.

If you are the primary applicant you cannot really change jobs after EAD. You have to wait for at least 6 months after I140 approval to find a similar job but sometimes it works if you change before and employer doesn't cancel and INS doesn't find out.
