I am an RN and filed 485 without VisaScreen last year and keep working on VisaScreen. Now I got RFE for VisaScreen by the end of October. I know that I cannot get VisaScreen done by that time and need more time to get it. How to buy more time? I was told that I can refile 485 (a new app with the same documents but no visascreen) on the RFE due date of previous 485 app to keep 485 pending status consistent because I don't have other status. Does CIS accept the new 485 on the RFE due date of previous 495 app? There is any other way to buy more time? Thanks.

slt said:look for CIS reinterpeting 245(k) at shusterman.com. There is a whole bunch of RN who were in your situation, they refiled and their refiles I-485s got rejected on the spot. So they have to go through CP route
