REF Received. What VSC is doing to us?

After waiting for 1.5 years, I just heard from VSC AVM that a REF is issued
to me on Dec. 20, 2000. Don\'t know what is about. How disappointed!
Is it true that the REF case will NOT be transfered to local? If it is true, it is better than being transfered to local. Merry Christmas!

Sorry to hear this ... but there is no guarantee that a case won\'t be transferred to local office after RFE. e.g. check user id ASC...

RFE means you are very close to being approved. so don\'t worry, RFE may be for the employment letter.

Be careful of what you wish for! An RFE will be handled within 6 weeks of issuing (usually within 2 weeks of their "officially receiving" the response). From notes posted here, you will see that transfers to a local INS office are handled AFTER 6 MONTHS...

Don\'t worry, finially your case is under reviewing.
It will take 2 weeks to 2 months.
