Last year when our family did the fingerprints, I called immigration and updated the address. Later on confirmation letters were sent to the updated address. So I thought everything was ok. But yesterday my friend who lived in the old address we used to live called us to pick up the RIF letter. Now obviously USCIS got the address messed up. I heard a lot of people in the forum saying that their cases were updated but had not received letter in the mail. I guess its better start making phone calls or doing something instead of waiting for the RIF letter to arrive.

I had similar issue. I updated the address last August - never received any aknowledgement from CIS, so I sent another letter to update the address - it was never updated and this year thewy sent my RFI to my old, which was not really a problem. I contacted my congressman's office and they updated the address for me. I received bio notice at my new address.
