Reentry Permit - Help

I have to send back my wife to India to take care of her mother who recently had a heart attack. I wish to apply for the Reentry permit for her.

Is this something I can do on my own or should I have to do it through a lwayer only.

What is her status? H-4 ?? if H-4 she doesn't need Reentry Permit but check first..

Recently we had our I-485 approved ( for all of us - self, my wife and for my son ).

What reasons should I mention for my wife's travel and for my son ( in the application ) in case I can do it on my own ?
