Reentry Permit Expedite Procedure

I want to file for my spouse's I131 Reentry permit. Can anyone help me with exact steps needed to mark an application for reentry permit for EXPEDITE?

Also, in the form I131 for Reentry permit, there is a field "Class of Admission". What should we fill in with? We are permanent resident of US since Aug 2007.

Thanks.

I-131 is used for purposes other than Reentry Permit, and for those other purposes the class of admission could be relevant.

But for a reentry permit, it's obvious you have a green card; you could write "Green card", LPR, ARC, I-551, it doesn't really matter.

Thank you for your reply. Can you please help me find information on Expedite procedure as well?

Are you sure you need it expedited? Without expediting, you only need to be in the US when it is filed (including when USCIS receives it), and for fingerprinting, and you can leave the US in between the filing and fingerprinting. After fingerprinting you can leave the US and wait for it to be delivered to your US address or to a consulate abroad.

Thank you for the reply. My wife wants to go back to India as soon as possible after fingerprinting since she is studying her masters out there. Thats why we want it expedited, only so that she complete fingerprint earlier and leave for India. (I was in US for my reentry permit just very recently and it took about more than one month for fingerprint notice to arrive)

The I-131 instructions have something about how to send a request for expediting with the application. An explanation and evidence of why it needs to be expedited must be included.

Some others have also managed to get it expedited by taking the I-131 receipt and going to an Infopass appointment, bringing their evidence and explanation and convincing them to allow the fingerprinting right then and there.

However, don't expect there to be a good chance of getting this expedited. They'll probably say the Master's degree program is not a sudden unexpected event, so she should have applied for the permit earlier.
