Reentering after staying out for a year

I have satyed out of the US for one year now and still have some time left on my visa till July of 2003 from the old employer. I was not on the rolls of the company during the year.

Can I reenter on the same Visa stamp?

Or, Do I need to apply for fresh visa and get it stamped in my home country?

Any help would be appreciated.

If you are not on the rolls of the employer then you are not an employee of that company.

Not if you are not going to be employed by that company.

Are you trying to enter the US using your old H-1B visa stamp and find another employer? If so forget it!! The right way to do is to get a new H-1B and then enter.
