Reenter from mexico as F1 student out of status for more than 5 months

I am out of status from february 2012, i didn't filed for reinstatement. Now i am planning to reenter from mexico this week i.e. 25th august on new initial attendance I-20 with new SEVIS. i have my valid visa till september 4th, 2012.

i came to know that F1 visa gets invalidated if been out of status for more than 5 months.

what are my chances for reentering successfully.

hey, i also in the same situation. My sevis is terminated 2 months ago, and i don't know what should i do.?
from which school did you got the i-20,and wht happened with you, did you got reentry to usa? please let me know as soon as possible ......

My student visa is valid till 2014 and I have not enrolled for classes and as a result my F1 status got terminated.

I am out of status from March 2012.

Can u tell me what r the options of getting back to status legally apart from marriage?

The school DSO asked me to get a new I-20 from a different school and told that I don't need a Visa for rentry.

Can someone help me out as I just need 1 more semester to complete my graduation and I messed up.

Applying for F1 reinstatement

I was out of status.. sevis terminated because I dropped my course load below 12 credit hrs. during Fall 2012 semester. I was notified but did not really notice until a week ago. I met with DSO and she asked me to reapply as soon as possible. I know it has been more than 5 months... it is basically 10 months now.

My DSO wants me to apply saying that it came as a surprise and did not clearly know of the situation. However, I am confused...

I have a gpa of 1.9-2, have work illegally for half a year recently and missed my 5 months period. Any hints, idea, helps or coincidence to incident to boost myself up morally? Please help me out?
