When my company started my labor process, we had 8 employees in the US and about 30 worldwide.
Today, we have 4 in the US and about 40 worldwide.
The problem I have is that originally, my HR person had only mentioned US size. Now, if we give the updated US size, it would seem like a 50% reduction in number of employees.
There was no reduction in force (RIF) or layoffs or such. People left to go on to better things in life. Meanwhile, the company has been doing quite alright, financially through the last 3 years.
My question to the experts here is: what is the impact of stating only the US head count?
And another question: Should we just state the worldwide headcount and stop all doubts? What is the impact then?
