Recruitment Report

Can you please share your experience and ideas on the recruitment report preparation and more specifically what were the reasons for rejecting applicants. I understand that the only lawful reasons are the ones minimally required for the job description, and normally required for such occupations. But besides education and experience what else could be a legitimate reason for rejection?

Could it be experience in a different type of company?

I know that you cannot reject for a specific skill. Please help.

I believe the legitimate reasons for rejections can be
1. Salary requirement of candidate more than PWD (and more than company is willing to pay)
2. Candidate is not local (company does not want to pay relocation) - not sure about that though
3. Candidate is not citizen/GC holder

I guess otherwise your company needs to interview the candidate and then reject them by giving more specific reasons based on interview

Thank you Lambda. I really need to know what other reasons can a company use or has used in rejecting applicants? Are the reasons determined only by the min. requirements from the occupation (O*net) or can the requirements be really connected to the requirements from the employer i.e. job opportunity related?

Thanks
