Recommendation for Lawyers in DC Area for AC-21

Given today's failure of immigration bill, I would like get more information on the risks on AC21 in my situation. I do understand that many have used AC21 and have got their GC but I just want to sit in front of a lawyer and talk to him and maybe hire his/her services going forward (since my company lawyer might not support me once I use AC21).

Do you guys have any recommendations for lawyers? I could talk to someone locally in DC Area or even outside, as long as you're confident of his knowledge and experience in this area.

I know there are some obvious choices like Rajiv Khanna but I would like to have more options as well.

Looks to me that they are too busy to reply to phone calls. Leave msgs but they dont reply back. Any other suggetions?
 
I am also actively considering using AC21 and would like to have the comfort of going through a lawyer.
Keep us posted of your progress.

I am also from the DC metro area.

Plzz dont go for expensive Lawyers .. AC21 is NOT as complicated as it is shown. NIELSEN & DOODY, LLC 301-251-1834
He is my Lawyer .. and will not suck your blood. Tons of AC21 cases. Good Luck

Thanks for that tip. Murthy charges $1.5K for AC21, how much does Nielsen charge? Also how cooperative is he?

He is very down to earth guy .. a couple of desi assistants are also there.

He filed my MTR along with the AC21 letter .. $500. If I were not scared of my unique situation.. I could have typed that letter myself. It was merely a pre-drafted letter , changes were made with names and numbers and thats it.

Give him a call and you may also talk to Mr. Shabbir in that office. Give him my referance also.

Alright. Do you know if his success ratio (roughly obviously) with AC21 cases. I just want to be careful before taking this step. thanks.
 
I am also on the same boat. I would like to hear more about AC21 cases since that's the only action we could take at this point.

DCMETRO ... Its not a case against any one //// .. people use terms like " INVOKING AC21" ... I believe its merely giving reference of the law AC21 to enlighten the adjudicator ... No one gets denied due to change of employment. USCIS just want to make sure you have similar job at the time of adjudication so that you dont become a public charge. ...

Plz .. view this .... In the presence of AC21 Law ... should any of the USCIS officer deny a case due to change of employment ? ... NO

Its is like you telling a judge to do justice. The law is there. Why would any one want to ignore its application. By sending a letter for AC21 is the way LAWYERS work with judicial system. When someone filles a case against someone ... law are quoted to make it clear for the judge and prove one's knowledge about the matter.

Should a USCIS deny a case if the applicant fails to tell him that " HEY .. LOOK .. THERE IS THIS IMMIGRATION LAW, YOU SHOULD LEARN ABOUT BEFORE YOU TOUCH MY CASE"

ITS JUST FUNNY ... anyone can send that AC21 letter quoting the MEMO. Lawyers suck heavy $ just to re-print AC21 letter, change names and mail it.
