Recived response for my SR... Please comment

I just received a response for my SR dated 7/14/07.

It says my case is within the current processing time line and I should call back again if it is not approved in 60 days.
That is plain bull****. My case has a receipt date of June 1, 2004. And TSC processing date for 485 is Oct 2006.
Unless they are considering the transfer date as the new receipt date I don't understand this at all. If that is true, then that will give more beef for my WOM which I am considering filing in early Oct.

Last I checked (early August infopass) my name check was still pending. Does anyone here know what kind of response people usually get for their SRs when their NC was still pending. I thought it was something like 'Security Check pending w/ outside agency.." or "Under Additional review..." or some other cr*p like that. Isn't that right?

Please comment. I will also call the TSC later so wish me luck.

...does not mean much - being boilerplate. I got that response for one of mine as well, and when I spoke with the 1800 #, they said that the transfer date was considered the RD for TSC - which is such a load of crap.

That being said, keep your fingers crossed - you'll see on this board, these responses don't mean much

I would say the best use of this letter is to take infopass appointment and show this letter there and ask them. Now a days getting an infopass appointment, they need a print out of SR response.

All I would say that you should take this positively. I know that people who are stuck in name check get a totally different response .... something like "contact us in 6 months".

I too got the same response as you for my SR, amusingly enough, after my GC was approved :)
