recieved 2nd fp before i-140

I applied 140 485 in apr 2003 . I got 2nd notice of fp but 140 still not approved and my online status have not been updated regarding Fp. Does anyone have idea about the situation and any ideas about 140,I mean do they verify 140 before sending fp or not?

They are not related

Technically an FP is related to a 485 application only. FPs should shave no bearing on your 140. However, TSC has been issuing FP notices before approving 140s and in a lot of cases (mine included), the 140s are getting approved within a couple of months of FP. That has been the trend these days. Hopefully your case will fall under this trend and you will get your 140 approved soon after FP.
