reciept notice how long

having applied for i-485,how long does it take to get receipt notice? and who gets it the lawyer?

2 months just to get the receipt notice???
I sent my I-485 to NSC early Nov 2006 and it has been 3 weeks already. No receipt. The checks are not cashed yet. Since my I-140 was approved at TSC, I wonder if my I-485 is being transferred there. Regardless, the wait to receive the mere receipt is too long.

I can't answer the first question. For the second, the receipt goes to your lawyer.

receipt arrived after 1 month + 1 week

I got my receipt today after waiting for over a month.
I485 sent to NSC on 11/6/06
Checks are not cahsed yet, though.

Unfortunately, the receipt date on my notice letter is Dec 08, 2006 (although my forms were "received" at NSC on Nov 08, 2006).
