Reciept Date (RD) and Finger Printing Date (FP)

The difference of days between the RD and FP . some have less than 2 months difference , some have more than 5 months difference..

Is there any explaination for that ??

ND notice date,

date on which a file is entered into the BCIS system, and there is no correlation between RD and FP, some would say its better to have a late FP so that you do not have to go for 2nd, and some may disagree saying expiring fp's may cause bcis to aprove early.
Hope this helps.:)

RD vs. FP

well, INS (BCIS) recieved my FP on July 30th, 2002. My I-485 RD is November 19th, 2001. at first when i started seeing late november and early december cases being approved before me, i started to wonder if my late FP date is going to screw me. i theorized that BCIS decided to use FP expiration for assigning cases. well, then i also saw some people who are getting second FP notices and made me feel better that my FP date is late. well, i personally think that BCIS does not care if a person's FP expires or not NOR do they care how long we are actually waiting. the longer i wait, i am becoming more certain that BCIS does not care about RD, FP, ND, or what have you. BCIS's motto is they will get to your case when they get to it, when they feel like it, when they have the "time".

RD date is there to mess with our minds.....
