Recent stamping experience in Newark is needed.

search the message boards. there are tons of them.

Besides, it's no biggie. Standard procedure. Reach early, stand in line (not standard but the line for appointments even though you don't have a specific one). Go to room assigned, hand over approval notice, wait......., get finger printed and sign for i-89, wait.....................................(ibis check in progress, I guess!!!)...................................................................................................................................................................get called for stamp, hand over passport, get stamp and walk out.

I got it stamped in NY but have friends who got it stamped in NJ and we all had the same experience.

best of luck.

IBIS Check

Hi V_A_RAO,

What is IBIS check? I am guessing it is some sort of background check. Didn't FBI checks background during I-485? Please advice. Thanks.

Hi,
Did the stamping on 18thSep at Newark. Cool man...go around 7:30 to 8 a.m. The procedure takes between 20 mins. to 1 hr.
if you go by car from South to north..Take exit 13A of NJTP...take 1&9 N and take(Stay at left lane), take Rt 21(stay at left lane)...Take left at Murry st.(I guess..u will see Dir. to Broad St.) Take right at Broad St. INS Building is at right side.
Take right at E. Kinney st. Parking at left side just next to the INS building. Come to the back side of the INS building..Stand in the line which is opp. to the building near a small park. I am not sure were the line will be after 8A.M. Don't stant nexct to the INS building door if you reach there before 8A.M. U will be asked to join the line which is standing next the park. At 7:45 the security comes to the line and checks your notice and let u in the building. I went to 10th fl. Then everything is very cool.

Good luck
