When I see the approvals in rupnet and the ones posted in this site, I get a feeling that EB2 cases are given preference over EB3 cases (there are some exceptions). I know INS was doing this preference thing when people used to wait for filing 485(before 2001), but I thought VSC discarded it after allowing concurrent filing. Any comments in this regard?
Thanks,
Srini

I dont think so. I am EB2 as well, still waiting. In fact someone from this forum EB3 got approved and that person's RD was after mine.

As I said before there are some exceptions both ways(EB2 still pending and EB3 approved for the same case). But the simple majority of cases in rupnet and this forum shows that EB2 is given preference. It means that they get looked into first and could result in approval, or FP notice or in your case an RFE.

My assumption is based on the following

1) No of EB2 cases should be significantly lesser than no of EB3 cases.
2) Yet the number of EB2 cases being looked into and some action taken as per Rupent and in this forum vs the number of EB3 cases is same or even more.
I understand that I am relying on a small amount of unverified data for this assumption. I could be wrong.
Thanks,
Srini

How about EB1? Has anyone got 485 approval based on EB1 I-140? IC

Looks like they are TRYING to go FIFO with some exceptions !
Good news is that they are doing SOMETHING rather than NOTHING!

EB1 not being given any preference

immigrationcom - are you in EB-1 Multination Exec category? I am in that category and no approval yet. Have been waiting since 9/21/02. No FP2 either. What are your details?
