Recent 2006 CP in Pakistan And FBI clearance.

I am thinking of going to pakistan for my CP sometime beginning of nest year, just browsing through this forum I found otu about FBI name check. I thought they do that in NVC but apparently consulate can still ask for it again. Anyone recently gone through CP in pakistan, whats going on there these days? I do not want to get stuck for this security check for this long as my employer wont allow this much time.
any recent experiences?

My parents had CP interview at ISB last year in December 19th. (2005) and still waiting for administrative processing (name check). By the way they had been to USA about 7 or 8 times in past on B-1/B-2 Visa. One of my friend is waiting for fiance visa for last 8 months. So be careful name checks take much longer these days at ISB consulate.
