We received a letter today stating that my husband's green card was remailed on Sept 19. When he opened the envelope there was also someone's I-797 receipt in it. Should we mail it to the person expecting it or mail it back to USCIS?
If it were me I would mail it with a letter explaining what happened to the person it is adressed to or expecting it & copy it and send one to the USCIS letting them know their mistake and verifying they have your correct address on record for YOUR case.
