Received RFE - I was w/o job for 1+ month

I received RFE on 3/10 - asking for
past 2 yr tax returns
last 3 months pay stubs
& employment letter.

Now, I was without job for last month or so.. just got new job (AC21).. have not received first pay yet (new employer has monthly payroll).

Anyone had been in similar situation? Is gap in employment going to be a problem?

Don`t worry! no problem at all.Yor r in safer side.Anyway u`ll be having time for responding your Rfe.So wait for 1 month pay stub(request your employer for bi-monthly pay stub for a month) & respond INS with the paystub u got,employment letter & previous paystubs from older company, & 2 yr tax returns!.
Even i replied my rfe with a month gap in the employment.I got approved.

Gap in employment is no problem as Green Card is for 'future' employement.

I heard that if you wait too long with your RFE reply the INS officer cannot keep the file at his/her desk but has to return it to the staging area. That means it will take a while for the INS to get back to your case and approve it. So you may want to try to get back to them as soon as your latest paystub arrives (April 1st I assume).
