update on my RFE: Please help
Today I received RFE notice by mail. These are some excerpts from the RFE notice:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Your are seeking classification for the beneficiary as an alien of extraordinary ability. FForm I-140 lists the beneficiary's area of expertise as Research Scientist.
Evidence submitted thus far, identifies you as very well educated, accomplished and an excellent researcher with great potential and promise. However, without belitting your accomplishments, evidence fails to establish national or international acclaim. This classification is based upon accomplishments at the time of filing of the petition as opposed to what may be achieved in the future.
Therefore please use the following guideline to submit any additional documents you may have omitted from your submission that establish such acclaim. This service wishes to acknowledge that a petition has already approved in your behalf for a classification that you were deemed eligible.
- Documentation of your receipt of lesser nationally or internationally recognized prizes or award for excellence in the field of endeavor (fellowhips, training grants and travel grants falls short of satisfying critera)
- Documentation of your membership in associations in the field for which classification is sought, which require outstandin gachievements of their members
- Published material about you in professional or major trade publications or other major media relating to your work (Mere reference to your work or inclusion of your publications in bibilographies or footnotes in insufficient) Such evidence must include the title, date, and author of the material, and any necessary traslation.
- Evidence of your participation on a panel, or individually, as a judge of the work of others in the same or an allied field of specialization.
- Evidence of your original scientific, scholarly contributions of major significance in the field (The Service does concede, however, that based on the number of citations of your work, you may be granted this criterion)
- Evidence of your authorship of scholarly articles in the field, in professional or major trade publications of other major media (Please note that, absent further documentation establsihing how you are extraordinay in a particular field, mere citations to your work are not sufficient to satisfy this criterion).
Service wishes to refer you to your own articles where you refer to dozens of other publications. It would be illogical to sugggest that every one of the articles/publications you refer to is extraordinary or tht every reference to one of your articles should be perceived the same. In the scientific community, citations are generally required when a researcher uses the research findings of another scientist as part of their own research. Such citiations are, therefore, not considered to be particularly probative as to whether the alien has extraordinary ability in teh field of endeavor, unless shown otherwise.
- Evidence that you have commanded a high salary or other significantly high remuneration for service in relation to others in the field (Submission of official U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage rate information for your field of endeavor, without other corroborative evidence, generally would not meet this criterion, as it might not establish whether the salary or other remuneration is "significantly" higher than that of others in the field. Such prevailing wage rate information should normally be accompanied by other documentation satisfatorily explaining why you believe your salary or remuneration is significantly higher than that of others in your specific field).
If the above standards do not readily applay to your accupation, you may submit comparable evidence to establish your eligibility.
While this Service does not intend to discredit the statement made by the witness, they should be corroborated by documentary evidence in the record. It is generally expected that an individual whose accomplishments have garnered sustained national or international acclaim would have received recognition for his or her accomplishments well beyond the circle of his or her personal and professional acquaintances. In addition, please note that Dr. XXXX has recognized your potential as "...may improve the health of millions of Americans..."
While these and other statements establish the faith the professional place in your potential, they fall short of establishing you as an individual orf extraordinary ability as defined for this classification.
