Received response from FBI today

Dear all,

It came as a surprise that FBI responded to my fax inquiry today. In the email I received it states "FBI completed a record check for you on this day, Aug. 19. The results were forwarded to USCIS".

Folks who got responses from FBI in the past do you know if this means that my name check has been cleared???

Just yesterday I was planning on buying a fax machine since my old one stopped working and I needed a fax machine to start a campaign.

Folks who are waiting on a response from FBI - be a little more patient it will come ( I know it's easier said than done)
 
yes your name check is cleared. If your FP is valid and no RFE yet then you may get the AD soon.
 
Did you do your Finger printing recently? What prompted you to send the inquiry fax to FBI? More details please. The reason I am asking is I and a couple of others ( lucky ones if I may say so who have RDs in May-June 2002 and got Fp notices) have done FPs. Some of us incl. myself have got status updates saying FP results received/process resumed. Does this mean they are yet awaiting our name clearance and only FPs are cleared or all FBI clearances are done?? Anone can shed some light here?? Thanks in advance!!
 
I don't have the fax number (202-xxx-3367????)with me now but if you do a search on this forum it should be there. There is a lot of good information on FBI name check here also all you need to do is to do a key word search and read the posts.

I decided to initiate an inquiry because my case is overdue and I wanted to find out where it got stuck.
