Just thought I'd share my "HAPPY" experience of USCIS with you as I've read a lot of your stories and got some great info from this site - thanks.... It appears things do work at USCIS after all... if all the conditions are perfect. This is my story:
- EB1 multi-national manager from South Africa (application included my wife and 2 young kids)
- concurrent filing of 140/485 at VSC on 21 Mar 06
- 140/485 RD 30 Mar 06 (PD 30 Mar 06)
- Biometrics done on 2 June 06
- 140 approved on 9 June 06
- 485 approved on 15 June 06
- cards ordered on 16 June 06
- cards mailed on 22 June 06
- received cards today, 30 June 06
So the entire process took 3 months and 9 days!! Didn't received any RFEs and no other hiccups. Couldn't believe it when I received the email from USCIS saying the 485 was approved.
So if all the conditions are right, and luck is on your side, there is hope. Thanks for all the great info on this site and best of luck with your application!
