Received Packet3 For Cp Even Though Not Applied For It

I will appriciate if any body has any information on the following issue ?
My company , at the time of I-140 application did not mentioned that I want to CP but still INS has approved the CP for me and sent the packet 3 to my company.

1. Any body knows if i do not want to go thru CP , can i still do REGULAR AOS - 485 here ?

2. What is the risk level involved in the CP (Mine is EB3 category date is 12/08/1999)

3. In case of CP what are the documents required ?

4. If i do not have brith certificate will , indian embassy issued certificate work ?
