I had my stamping done about a month ago at Newark, NJ. At that time they also retained my photographs and took an index finger print for the physical green card. I was given the usual dope: wait 6-12 months for the green card.
Today I have received a Notice of Action stating (again) that my I-485 case is approved. It asks me to take an InfoPass appointment and go with two photographs, get my index finger printed and obtain a stamp as temporary proof of approval. In other words, go and do exactly what was already done a month ago.
Has anyone had a similar experience? Would it be OK to ignore this duplicate notice of action? Or should I assume that for some reason they were not happy with the quality of the photos/fingerprint and make the trek to Newark again?
