Received Green Travel document after obtaining plastic card

Hi all:

I have received travel docuemnt ( I-327 Green color passport size book) today. I have green card already and I received the plastic card around Aug 2003. I do not know why I am receiving this docuemnt now. It says it is valid for two years. Any body has an answer or has similar exp. ?

It is a Reentry permit. It can be used in leu of passport for travel, or as a document allowing you to stay outside US for more than 1 year but within document's validity dates.

Why you received it? You should know better. It could be you or your attorney who applied for it using form 1-131 shortly after you became Permanent Resident (and paid $110 :-)). CIS does not issue those automatically.

I did not apply for reentry permit after getting GC. However I did apply for advance parole two to three months before my date became current. In any case I am assuming I will not have any problems to permanent status.

I-131 cancelled

My I-131 Advance Parole application was denied once my GC was approved.

You should be lucky
 
A totally different experience here. I applied for my RTD while AOS was pending. AOS was approved before the RTD was issued; three weeks later RTD arrived with a "permanent resident" designation, instead of "asylee".

I guess it depends.
