Received FP notice today

I received FP notice for me and my wife today. However, due to retrogression to be effected October 1, why did they send FP notice at this late hour?

Are there any knowledgeable people that know the significance of this?

Thanks in advance.

Because they have nothing else to do now. In order to get annual bonus, they can't leave their work report blank.

Same as you, got the Biometrics notice this week. It seems USCIS determined to solve my I485 problem within next 15-month. Go USCIS!

Hi,

Can some pl tell me how long it may take (approximately) to approve the 485 after recieving the 2nd FP ntioce?

FP lead time

Hello nivassv,
I was wondering what was the lead time between you receiving the FP notice and the actual date when you had to go in for finger-printing? In other words, did you have a month or a few weeks to do the fingerprinting once you received the notice in mail?

Thanks,
GCN

Ok, you guys are gonna crack up, but the reason I asked is because I lost my GC and I absolutely need to travel on business outside the country starting 10/23 for two weeks! I can get a replacement GC if I file an I-90, and take the e-file printout to the local service center and get a temporary stamp that allows me to travel. Now for the catch: they need to do the biometric thing all over again. If I get a bio appointment date that is before my return date, I am s#$%ed. So my current plan is to file for the replacement the day before I leave. I am hoping that USCIS will not process my application and issue me an appointment date all within a couple of weeks. Paradoxically, I'm actually wishing that they process my case as slow as possible! Fingers crossed.

Moral of the story: Once you get your GC - hold on to it for dear life. I am usually a very careful guy - measure thrice and cut once type - if it could happen to me ...

Cheers,
GCN
