I have had a DWI in December 1997 (8 yrs ago).

I received mail from FBI in response to my FOIPA (Freedom of Information and Privacy Act) request which said the following:

"A search of the automated indices to our central records system files at FBi Headquarters located no records responsive to your FOIPA request."

Then they talked about how to do an administrative appeal if I so desire.

I got an e-mail from USCIS the other day which said that my name check came back with a hit and so my 485 will be transferred to a district office.

What does all this mean?
Is my name check complete or not?
Is it possible that the hit that they got is for the fingerprint results (I was fingerprinted after DWI)?

Your input would be much appreciated.

Best regards,

Santosh
