Received FOIPA request from FBI

Hi guys,

While waiting for name check status get FOIPA from FBI done. i am one of those unlucky 2002 filers.In Dec 2002 and early 2003 nearly 3 million cases were submitted and just because the process wasnt kind of straigtned out led to total randonmness. Probably INS thinks its sent a request and FBI thinks there's no request. Basically many cases are in a limbo. Followed Rahul Kumars advice and sent a FOIPA request for self and spouse on 8th and i got a reply today. It came with no record. Contacted senator from TX and he has made an enquiry and he is probably going to come back saying its because of name check . In the meanwhile waiting for FBI to respond to my email sent on 12th oct. Will use all this and convince the congressman/senator thats its all administrative delay and try and stir the pot.Lets see what that does ? Suggest everyone read Rahul Kumars Name check post on the citizenship forum. I wish there is some justice in this system and the may 2002 filers and then the rest of the 2002 filers get their decision before all the late 2003 and 2004 filers get their approval. The analogy is like stopping in a traffic light and waiting for the light to turn green. Then when it does u see some guys zooming by because they happen to drive down during the right time. No offence to the 2003 and 2004 filers i wish u guys speedy approval too. God bless

Go to the citizenship forum on immigrationportal.com and u can see a post from rahul kumar. Else search for NAME CHECK and will see it. Let me know if u got to it.

I sent an email to FBI inquirying about mine and my wife's name check status at sept. 30,2004, and got the response email this week. FBI email says that my name check is clear, but there is no request from USCIS about my wife's name check. Luckily my I-485 and my wife's I-485 got approved at Oct.28,2004...

Now this name check issue would not bother me anymore even FBI says there is no name check record for my wife...


Pray for all the guys who get stuck with name check...

Are we supposed to receive a receipt for it? I received a letter saying acknowledging my request. Is it a normal part of the process?
 
Hi annet,

I got a letter for self and spouse in 10 days and it said something like "The name checks revealed no records " wait for others in the forum to comment.
